Kathleen Korpela
Founder, Living Goldenwell & Creator of Caregiving From The Middle
Living Goldenwell was born from lived experience and with a mission to transform the eldercare experience for family caregivers.
As a professional woman navigating the complex reality of supporting her father with Alzheimer’s dementia, Kathleen found herself doing what so many women quietly do. Holding everything together on the outside while feeling unprepared, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn.
On paper, she had resources. In reality, she needed clarity, strategy, and support that actually fit the life she was living.
Drawing on her professional background, deep research into eldercare systems and family caregiving, and countless conversations with women walking a similar path, she created Living Goldenwell and the Caregiving From The Middle program.
The place where talking about aging parent care is the norm and where women come to connect with women all over the world who are going through it.
Kathleen is actively involved in the community, guiding its vision, nurturing connection, and setting the tone for the clarity, compassion, practical guidance and support members experience here. She believes eldercare deserves the same level of thoughtfulness, preparation, and leadership women bring to every other area of their lives.
At the same time, eldercare and navigating the emotional and logistical aspects of it is complex. No single person can or should carry every area of expertise. That’s where our Contributing Experts come in.
